Tiny Vigil
My beloved angel attended an Easter Vigil church service tonight at a place where the family hadn't been before. We're still new in town here and have been slowly shopping for a spiritual home. She seemed happy enough to take in the scene, with the progressive lighting of candles of the once-dark church, when she wasn't being too distracted by teething pain, that is. At one point someone read some of the New Testament in Spanish, and Annalee more or less shouted out, "Labba-labba-labba-la." Everyone within earshot laughed, including both her parents. The way children were responded to in the church, with respect and affection, is a central reason that we will probably return.
