New Pair of Shoes

Baby got a new pair of shoes today, her first pair of cowboy boots. Though soft-bottomed, and otherwise foot-friendly, they have much of the look, and the vibe, of authentic boots. That might or might not matter to most people, but it clearly mattered to my daughter, who strutted around the house in her pink boots like a happy movie star. I knew kids love new shoes, but I didn’t know the joy could start at the age of fifteen months. Baby has worn her first pair of moccasin-shoes from the same company so much that they’re beyond broke in now; they’re worn. Something tells me that the new pink boots will be worn before long, too.
