Pre-Flight Jitters

This just in: Baby has fussy days and less fussy days. On days like today, her disposition fluctuates between anxious calm and various forms of fussing, none of which is any big deal, but with our Hawaiian departure approaching in less than 48 hours anything other than docility induces dread in both of baby’s parents. On the other hand, and as my wife pointed out, it may be that wherever baby was going to be the day after tomorrow she would need to be held pretty much all the time anyway – to comfort her in her increased teething pain, or whatever may be ailing her – and we may as well be holding her on a plane. My great fear: Baby cries the entire way and my wife throws murderous glances my way all the while.
