Ma-na-na-na

Though baby’s words aren’t what most would call intelligible yet, she often uses many of them at once – as though the ideas she is expressing require compound sentences, if not paragraphs, to convey. “Yabba-gabba, yabba-yabba-gabba. Ma-na-na-na.”

One of the things I try hardest to achieve is to give her the sense that she is listened to; I’m fortunate that I know how healing it is to have one committed listener.
