The Neighborhood Adventure Continues
Baby went on another neighborhood adventure with dad today, walking along the sidewalk – and occasionally a neighbor’s lawn – a couple of hundred yards or so. She had the pleasure of trying to elude dad’s hold on her hand so she could try running up and down a tiny grass hill in someone’s front yard, of reversing direction a few times when dad tried to direct them home, and of seeing a neighbor dog shuffling down the sidewalk on the other side of the street. “Doggy,” she said, more or less. She also, alas, faintly skinned her knees, despite dad having hold of her hand. But it didn’t appear to hurt at all, certainly not enough to slow her down or bring a tear. It did, though, symbolize the transformation in process of a little baby into a little girl.
