My Two Favorite Feet

The highlight of my day with baby today was rubbing lotion on her feet after a bath. She was playing with a toy, lying on her back on her changing table, and she looked up at me from her toy once or twice with a quizzical but happy look on her face. Her feet, like every other part of her, possess qualities of her mom and her dad. They have some of the strength and dexterity of her mom’s feet (my wife could pick up fifty pencils in a minute with each of her feet), and some of the size of dad’s feet. More than a reflection of her two parents, though, they are uniquely her, and I love them.
