Mother and Child Reunion

Mom’s return at the end of her work day is typically the best moment of the day – and not just because I’m relieved that my shift is over. Baby is so delighted to see mommy, and so glad to share her joy looking my way from her mother’s arms, that we would have to be deaf and dumb not to feel blessed.

In the name of helping baby get over her cough today, I turned up the water heater thermostat. That way, when I turned on the shower it steamed up the bathroom pretty spectacularly, and baby and I spent several brief junctures in the pea soup breathing together.

Her cough seems better tonight, but I won’t be surprised if we have to head back into the fog tomorrow.
