Mouth! Floor!

Today I set baby down on the floor a few dozen times, picked her up from the floor the same number of times, put her in her playpen three or four times, picked her up out of the playpen the same number of times, played with her in front of one of the mirrors in the house twenty or thirty times (in case you never noticed, mirrors are hilarious – just ask baby), read (sang, actually) her the same book four or five times, changed her diaper a few times, took her to the playground, practice-walked with her a handful of times, took her to a community meeting, gave her five bottles, fed her solid food twice, worked on vocabulary with her (nose! mouth! floor! ceiling!), and it was awesome.
