Water World -- Continued

Baby got to watch her mom ride a wave, a decent-sized one, at the beach today. Mom’s surf time has been limited since giving birth 10 months ago, but you wouldn’t have known it watching her on her board. Baby, of course, had absolutely no idea what was going on, but what she did understand was that her mom had turned into a black-clad, dripping wet, smiling being who wanted to kiss her like usual after she had come in from the water. And baby was fine with that.

Later, baby played in her new ten-gallon pool for just a couple of minutes, and while her face showed trepidation when her feet were first immersed in the cool water, within a couple of minutes she was sitting in it and splashing contentedly, same as in the bath. A good first go of it.
