Coming out of Her Shell

Baby’s smiling longer, laughing louder. She’s eating organic oat-round cereal as fast as we put them down on her high-chair tray (which we do one at a time for safety). She is talking, just about nonstop. I thought this morning that if we lived in another country and spoke another language she would be making different baby sounds.

She is remarkably strong, squatting and then standing, again and again, while balancing on the nearest chair. Her back, shoulders, arms, and legs are all muscle. She is visibly thinking and solving problems most of the time. She is the sweetest creature that ever lived.
