Six Months Old

Baby went on her fifth trip to the pediatrician today (all but one regular checkups) for her six-month wellness visit. She was measured and weighed (she’s longer and heavier than before), and examined by her outstanding pediatrician. The doctor mentioned that baby is keenly aware of her surroundings, advanced for her age in terms of vocalization, and able to make eye contact in a more focused way than most infants her age. The sad part, as usual, was the pair of vaccinations at the end, but, as I told my wife, allowing baby to be given painful shots was an act of love on our part.
