A Festive Night for the Kids

Though much of baby’s family is gathered here in Austin for a funeral, for most of the young children, and baby in particular, there was much joy shared at a restaurant tonight. The little cousins ran and played and laughed – and celebrated baby’s ebullient spirit like a bunch of little Buddhas. Though perplexed by most things religious, I like to think that our missing family member was looking down on the scene and comforted by how much love she had left in her wake.
