At Nonny and Pop's House

Last night, to build family memories (and to have a good experience), my wife, daughter, and I stayed over at the home of my grandparents-in-law. Dinner was pasta with Italian sausage; their kitchen has been a welcoming space for my wife and me many times, and this was one of the few times where it was the four of us, plus baby. At the end of the night, my wife, daughter, and I retired to the guest room and shared a bed about half the size of the one at home. I was sure that I’d get about half as much sleep as I get at home, too, frozen in place as I knew I would need to be not to disturb the ladies. In the end, I slept about as well as ever, but I’ll be very happy to be home.
