Cabin Fever in Springtime

We’ve had three days of drizzle and rain, and baby hasn’t gotten outside as much as usual. She gets to wear her pajamas longer than if she got dressed up to go to the park or the beach, and they’re her most functional clothing for traveling around the floor, so she probably thinks that’s a plus. I’m confident, though, that she misses being in the sunshine at our special places as much as I do.

I did get her dressed to go to the Post Office today; I drove us to the beach when we were done and, lo and behold, the rain had stopped. I held my angel in my arms on a beach building’s second-floor deck, and we watched the waves roll in for a few minutes while a not-quite-cold breeze blew on our faces. She smiled as each gust blew on her face and tousled her hair. We’ll have our warm spring weather back again.
