Voyager

Baby loves to pull herself to standing on the back of a chair and then move around the chair in a slow, but surprisingly fast, circle. Though the activity is technically known as “cruising,” according to our most frequently consulted baby book, I prefer to think of it as “miraculous pre-walking.” Sometimes, when she moves her grip from the chair to a table, or from the couch to the ottoman, she is standing without her hands touching anything, if only for a moment. When dad is working in one room and mom in another, she crawls from one of us to the other and makes her arrival in the new room with all the fanfare of someone completing a substantial voyage, which she has.

Her smile, with her four teeth partially in, grows more radiant by the day.
