Seeing the Seawall (Sort Of)

People have told me about the joys of the Baby Bjorn, the front-pack that makes taking baby for a walk or on any other outing fun for baby and easy for mom or dad. I’d tried the thing on once or twice before today – when I hoped to take baby to the seawall for an afternoon stroll. With my wife’s help I got the thing on myself, but with baby installed the thing was exactly wrong for my body ergonomically and I developed full-back spasms that took hours to go away. Funnily enough, the Baby Bjorn had the same effect on my wife, whose frame couldn’t be much more different from mine. We’ll both be relying on our friendly sling from now on. As for today’s adventure, baby had to enjoy being near the ocean bundled up against the cold in her stroller. She fell asleep about a minute and half into a thirty-minute walk, but I was still glad to have her with me.
