Mighty Mouse

Baby is strong. When, as sometimes happens, she struggles not to be strapped into her car seat, it takes some strength to soothe (and control) her. She has been doing deep-knee bends, seemingly to build her leg strength since she was seven months old. The results of the program are evident in her thigh muscles, which look like those of a future soccer player, rower, or speed skater. She picks up objects from the floor – her dad’s cowboy boots, a tape recorder, dog dishes – that, relative to her size and weight, are simply gargantuan and carries them around with little or no discernible effort. She does frequently smile, however, if you catch her eye while she is on one of her carrying missions.
