Eating as a Family

Baby has been coveting our food for months. Not only does she rightly suspect that our food tastes better than hers, but she understands intuitively that there is much to be said for sharing tastes as a family. Tonight she got a couple of bites of pasta that daddy had made, along with a couple of tiny bites of the chicken in the pasta. She smiled the minute the food was in her mouth, and she kept right on smiling as she chewed. She absolutely knew she was joining the family on a new level.

We’re still careful about what we feed her, but it won’t be long before I can cook for her a couple of times a day.
