Dimension

I went into the office today and called home to talk to the family. My wife shared about what she and baby had been doing and then held the phone up for baby to hear the sound of my voice. Once she had heard it, she responded. “Da-dee!” she said. “Hi da-dee!” One could plausibly argue that the sounds coming from baby’s mouth were one step short of planned, conscious speech. Either way, the moment gave depth and dimension and joy to my day.
