There She Goes

Texas is warm. On baby's first full day here after the big move she went for a dip in a pool fed by a cold spring. She made a number of three-dimensional faces, but quickly adjusted and splashed around and laughed with her mom and dad a good bit before growing bored. We'll return to the springs. The most amazing news concerning our princess is that, seemingly from the time she set foot in her new abode, she has been walking just about everywhere she chooses. Whereas in Rhode Island she had managed a dozen steps once or twice, she has linked twenty-five and thirty steps here several times. In fact, she pretty much does it all day, every day. We never saw the sudden explosion in lomotive skill coming. Though she teeters a fair amount, arms out like baby Frankenstein, she can stop, turn, accelerate, and decelerate pretty darn fluently.
