Napping as Strategic Enterprise
Today baby had to tolerate dad making phone calls and checking e-mails to organize logistics for the big move. We shared a couple of meals together, and a couple of laughs, but I suspect it was not the most delightful day that baby has had in her first year. Not having taken her morning nap, she fell asleep at one in the afternoon, woke at two for a quick feeding, and then slept on my chest for two and a half hours. She may have semi-consciously reasoned that the best way to get me to stop moving (and ignoring her) was the old extend-o-nap. A brilliant strategy, if it was one, that made my day.
In order to drive the family dogs down to our new home, I will have to be separated from baby for four days and three nights. I'm dreading it already.
