Look Who's Walking

Baby took two steps tonight, more convincingly than before, and then she repeated the feat. She had been standing on her own two feet more and more often, without steadying herself on anything. She was a few feet away from me on the living room floor while we were watching a movie a couple of hours ago and I said, “Come on over.” She took a single step and then sat down. But it was the first step she had taken without us holding her on one end or the other – nudging and catching her. Not long after, my wife encouraged her to try a step and she took two. My wife called me to see, and baby did it again. I have to say that these were the official first steps, no matter what we thought before and that the proof came in the tears I cried.
