Equestrian Antics

I phoned home from England and learned an amazing thing. Today, for the first time, Annalee rode a pony. She rode around the ring three times and had a look of profound satisfaction on her face. When I asked her if she had ridden Flicka, namesake of her favorite movie, she said, "Meo," short for "Romeo," the name of the pony. (The rest of the story I got from Kimmy.) I would have loved to see Annalee's triumph with my eyes, but I see it in my heart.
