Book-Happy

Baby spent much of the day tooling around with daddy in his truck as he looked for a new home for the family. She sat in her car seat off and on for about four hours. When she wasn’t napping or being taken inside to look at a house, she eagerly accepted bits of food and drinks of water or formula. Though I made major efforts to keep her comfortable, and to some extent amused, the day cannot have rated an A-plus. Nonetheless, she did squeal with delight several times when she saw something that caught her eye. Her voice is getting stronger. When we arrived home after our exhausting excursions, we plopped ourselves down in the upholstered chair in baby’s nursery and read eight or ten books. Pretty soon, it was as though we were having just another good day.
