Another Great Day

Baby runs hot. During winter, that meant I had a limited amount of time to get her snow suit on before she would suddenly cry hysterically – until she was brought out in the cold wearing the suit or it was taken off. More than once, I brought her to the unheated basement to clothe her for the brutal cold outside, and she liked how that went better.

Today, she grew overheated at one point, and because the temperature outside was in the mid-50s I could simply take her outside and cool her down, before her tear storm developed any real momentum. Within fifteen seconds of being out of doors, she was laughing at her reflection in my pickup’s windows, in the middle of another great day.
