Baby's First Winter -- Continued

Baby’s first blizzard, or real snowstorm, anyway, is due to arrive in the next 24 hours. Her dad will struggle to sleep tonight in anticipation, as he always does, and he will struggle not to try to get baby to understand more of the magic of snow than a baby can.

Perhaps tomorrow she’ll like having snowflakes land on her face; if so, I’ll want to take her on a walk around the block, at least. If not, I’ll enjoy the cleansing white hush of a snowstorm the way I always have and look forward to my first time down the sledding hill with the little munchkin a year from now.

One of my happiest memories is that of my Dad and me on an old-fashioned sled going down the hill in our backyard. I had no fear and remember thinking if anyone could get the sled to go it was my Dad.
