Still More Spiritual Development

Today we learned more about the things that can lead to sour breast milk, and we learned the hard way. Sometimes baby rejects perfectly good milk until she’s hungry enough, especially in the morning. So, it wasn’t obvious at the onset what was going on. Coupling the sour milk dilemma with the fact that today was mommy’s first full day back at work and you get – yes – still more spiritual development. Thankfully, baby and I have gotten to know each other sufficiently that I never lost her to true hysteria, despite the manifold challenges. Between taking in the stray half ounce of pumped milk and a couple of ounces of formula we keep on hand for emergencies (which she doesn’t really like), baby allowed me to keep her in the game. How happy we were to see mom walk through the door at the end of the day.
